(February 19, 2009)
IMR Test Labs has successfully been accredited by the Consumer Product Safety Commission to analyze lead in paint (January 2009) and in childrens metal jewelry (February 2009). Based on our long history of analyzing products for hazardous substances and our well known chemical analysis capabilities, IMR was able to add these services to our existiing ISO 17025 Accreditation from A2LA and then to have these accreditations accepted by the CPSC in support of their efforts to enforce the new rules under the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) passed in 2008 by Congress. Our well equiped laboratory (with three ICP-AES instruments, backed by X-ray Fluorescence) and large, highly trained staff uniquely position IMR to be able to support our client's needs in certifying the safety of their products quickly and cost effectively.
