What are the ASTM standards for tensile testing?

Tensile testing is performed to ASTM standard E8.  This standard regulates reduction of area, elongation, tensile strength, yield point elongation, and yield strength. 

What information is in a tensile test report?

What is the main benefit of tensile testing
